Born in Toronto, Canada, Dr. Neil Ellis attended college at the University of California Santa Cruz and then a Masters in Traditional Chinese Medicine. He then chose to pursue interventional pain management after being treated for an injury with minimally invasive procedures.

This led him to earn his medical degree at Eastern Virginia Medical School. He completed his residency and fellowship in anesthesia and interventional pain medicine at the University of Florida Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville.

He has also participated in global research in new spinal pain treatments, is the first in the area to treat spinal muscular atrophy patients with a new medication, and and enjoys bringing cutting-edge medicine to PPOA.
