Biography
Dr. Adams is an interventional pain management specialist with a background in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in our Lakewood Ranch clinic. He specializes in treating all pain conditions with an emphasis on comprehensive, non-opioid modalities. These include peripheral nerve blocks, neuromodulation including spinal cord stimulators and spinal injections, among others.
Dr. Adams earned his undergraduate degree in Neuroscience from the University of California Los Angeles and his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in St. George, Grenada. He completed an internship in General Surgery at Louisiana State University. He went on to complete a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and a Pain Medicine fellowship at the University of Louisville in Kentucky. He served as a senior academic resident, supervising junior residents, scheduling speakers for the Frazier rehab Institute and giving Grand Rounds lectures.
Dr. Adams has been widely published in scientific journals related to treatment of such conditions as neuralgia, complex regional pain syndrome and post-trauma headache.

He comes to PPOA from the Synovation Medical Group in Rancho Mirage, CA, and he is also the founder of Patient Centered Healthcare, PLLC in Louisville, KY.
He regularly participates in conferences and is a member of numerous professional societies. These include the America Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicines, the European Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, American Pain Society and International Spine Association Society.
A native of San Francisco, CA, Dr. Adams enjoys hiking, cooking, reading, and traveling.
