Dr. Edrick Lopez is a Harvard-trained interventional pain management specialist in our McKinney, Texas clinic. He offers his patients a multidisciplinary approach to pain relief, especially back, neck and joint injections. He also is trained in laser spine procedures, provides Botox injections for migraine headaches and practices regenerative medicine.

“I enjoy the dynamic of interacting with patients and helping to improve their quality of life,” he says.

His patients appreciate the interventional treatments PPOA offers, which are an effective alternative to addictive opioid painkillers for many patients.

Patient B.B. says: “I wasn’t looking for a pill mill, and much to my delight, this clinic offers multiple potential interventions for pain management. I highly recommend the clinic for those seeking real solutions.

Patient K.G. writes: “Dr. Lopez has a very good bedside manner, explains things well and thoroughly, listens to my concerns and makes a treatment plan with me not for me. I highly recommend him!

Patient R.F. says: “Dr. Lopez is wonderful. The staff is always professional and friendly. I feel very comfortable every time I go there which is once a month.”

Patient A.C. writes: “Love love DR. LOPEZ. He takes the time to listen to you as a person. Some pain doctors think every patient wants pain meds, which hurts the patient with real true pain feelings. He has angel fingers. I have went to other pain docs and the injections never helped. So far I’ve had three injections and they helped me a lot. The office staff has a good sense of humor.  I truly recommend this place. So far [it] has been great for me. I think I’ve had four appointments now and everybody has treated me so kind and courteous and does not make you feel like a medicine-seeker, where some doctors do. Dr. Lopez is outstanding. I would have to give him a 10 and has a great sense of humor which is really important to me.

Dr. Lopez is double board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan, followed by a dual degree in medicine and law from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine and School of Law.

While he earned a law degree, he chose to enter the field of medicine. He did his residency at Harvard Medical School in physical medicine and rehabilitation. He then advanced to a fellowship at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in pain management through the Anesthesiology department.
