Dr. Hunt Now Seeing Patients in Tampa
Physician Partners of America announces that G. Jason Hunt, D.O., a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, is now providing consultations at PPOA’s Tampa Orthopedic Clinic, 4728 N. Habana Ave., Suite 202, Tampa, FL 33614. Dr. Hunt offers all types of general orthopedic surgery for shoulders, hip replacements, knees, hands and wrists, as well as sports medicine.
He is certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery and a member of the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics, American Osteopathic Association and American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.
Dr. Hunt is the founder of OrthoLinks Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation in Tampa.
His specialty complements the interventional pain management and laser spine surgery offered at PPOA’s Habana Avenue, Tampa, location. “Whether it’s a competitive athlete or a weekend warrior, injury can change someone’s life,” he says. “I enjoy restoring people’s function and getting them back to doing what they love to do.”
A native of Kentucky, he played baseball from the age of 4 through college at Pikeville College in his hometown of Pikeville. After receiving his Bachelor of Science in psychology, he went on to earn his medical degree from University of Pikeville-Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Although he hung up his cleats after college, he channeled his competitive streak toward helping others when he became a physician. “Instead of competing against another team, I decided to compete against injury,” he says.
He has contributed to many scholarly publications and presented on a variety of topics related to orthopedic surgery. Dr. Hunt has also served as clinical professor for his alma mater and Marietta College.
Dr. Hunt is married to a family practice physician and the couple has two young children.
