Dr. Chad Gorman, physician in Pain management

Chad Gorman, MD

4419 Rowan Road, New Port Richey, FL 34653

Chad Gorman, M.D., is a board-certified physician specializing in treating chronic pain of the spine and extremities.

Dr. Gorman grew up in Southwest Florida. He is a graduate of the University of Florida and received his undergraduate degree in Health Science Education. While he was in college he spent most of his free time working at Shands Hospital. Dr Gorman spent time in the Burn Unit, Emergency Room and pediatric inpatient floor.

Dr. Gorman went to American University of the Caribbean in the Netherland Antilles. His primary interest during medical school was outpatient care that involved orthopedics and pain medicine. His third and fourth year clinical rotations were spent in London and New York City.

After completing medical school, he traveled to the University of Oklahoma to complete his residency and fellowship. During this time, he focused his training on outpatient sports medicine/orthopedics and interventional pain management. His fellowship helped him learn complex orthopedic and lumbar procedures to treat pain.

Dr Gorman has been in private practice since 2013. He specializes in treating chronic pain, in particular chronic lumbar and extremity pain. His orthopedic background puts him in a unique position to treat complex orthopedic pain non-operatively.

His philosophy is that pain is needs to be treated with a multi-variable approach. The goal of 100% pain relief can be treated best with a combination of lifestyle modifications, medicine, procedures and a pro-active and positive attitude.

Dr. Gorman and his wife, Amanda, have a son, Jack. They enjoy traveling, going to the beach and watching college football (Go Gators!).

Loved the staff. Friendly, competent, timely and professional! I feel the doctor really cared about alternative methods versus medicine in areas needed. I appreciate the visit very much.

Great experience. Dr. Gorman really listens to you and comes up with a plan to get you out of pain. It's hard to find a really good Dr these days that actually listens to you and don't treat you like a number. Dr Gorman is definitely one of a kind. So glad I found him. Also the office staff is just as amazing!!!

Dr Gorman takes the time to explain your treatment plan, procedure, and follow up plans. We are blessed to have this physician in our community. It saves everyone from the drive to Tampa. The office staff members are kind, professional and caring. I am so grateful to have this awful pain relieved. Many thanks!

I was just relocated here from Delaware 2 months ago. I lived in De.for 4+ yrs & commuted back and forth to Phila. every 2 mon. until I finally found my Dr in De.who I was extremely happy with so moving suddenly was devastating for the fact that I was in the middle of unresolved problems and treatments .I've had 5 back surgeries and 1 cervical surgery all with fusion, I contracted discitis in between the 2nd & 3rd back surgery. I suffer from terrible migraines , fibromyalgia and anxiety .I had to resign from a very good job that I loved .I now by choice work PT for a wonderful, compassionate co. I was in total shock at the difficulty in finding a new pain mgmt Dr. After flying back to De which was no longer an option and some horrible experiences I was blessed to have my prayers answered and I met with Dr Gorman yesterday .He was so calming to talk to , he listened to me which was so wonderful and he had some great recommendations and suggestions ,but what was so refreshing was that he made me feel like I was also a part of the decision making process and not just " this is what we're doing , like it or your welcome to go somewhere else ' So I'm so pleased that I'm actually being included in the decision making of my healthcare. I loved the staff also ! I felt very comfortable with my first new patient appt as if I'd been a patient for a long time. We have a great plan in process already that I'm extremely excited and finally feeling confident about my future and getting my quality of life back ! Another amazing win win for me is that they do Botox for migraines right there and I'm overdue for my 2nd treatment, I have terrible pain down my left leg...hip/knee and the Dr was caring enough to take the time to do an injection in my knee without it even being scheduled. Today I am walking and standing a little better and the pain although not 100% gone it is better and I'll take that any day !!! Overall, Dr Chad Gorman is a wonderful, compassionate, patient Dr that truly wants to help you get your quality of life back and he will work with you to accomplish just that ! I also have to mention how nice the office was , it was clean and bright and definitely cheerful !!! I am just so grateful to have found him and for anyone that is in a situation similar I suggest that you make an appointment with him and see for yourself....you will not be disappointed !

What can I say about Dr. Gorman, when you first meet him your hit with what a kind, caring Doctor he is. He listens, he is passionate in his work and he does care about his patients and does try very hard to make sure his patients are comfortable he never rushes you and he offers alternative methods to treat your suffering without forcing treatments on you. One more thing he has a great sense of humor. This is a inside joke between me and Doctor Gorman he is one handson Doctor.😁

I have been a patient for a very long time. Dr. Gorman has completed several procedures that has given me my life back. I highly recommend him, and believe that without his ongoing care, I would not be able to live a fulfilling pain free life. His staff is amazing, and they will do whatever they can to help you. If you are experiencing chronic pain, and you would like to live a normal pain free life, you must make an appointment to meet him. I can assure you that he will do everything he can to help you! He provides an array of procedures that truly work.

I have always had a great experience with Dr Gorman, he is very compassionate and does whatever he can to help. I have had multiple Drs in the past twelve years since my injury and he is the most down to earth easy to talk to Dr. he listens to me unlike most Drs and tries to come up with the most comprehensive treatment plan. He will take the time to answer any questions. There is not enough room to write all the positive things I have to say so I will just say he is amazing

Subsequent to my January 4th review I was able to speak with Dr. Gorman regarding the scheduling problems I encountered. I now know these are not of his making nor does he have any involvement in that process. I very much like Dr. Gorman and highly recommend him.

Dr. Gorman is great! Unfortunately he is affiliated with a "group"....Florida Pain Management, and Physician Partners of America, who provide all scheduling and paperwork support for him. They are completely incompetent, inexperienced and uncaring. Cancelled appointments without notifying the patient are commonplace. If you are willing to put up with a goat rodeo and have tons of patience and a low frustration threshold, then this is the place for you.

It is guaranteed that the bad reviews, and stars are patients who have violated their service contract by taking other medications they have not been prescribed, calling in way too early for medication refills, or having several emergency room visits at different hospitals in order to get more medication. Doctors today have to learn to be on the lookout for signs of a person might be doctor, or pill shopping. There are going to always be aches and pains that injections can not take away

I have been experiencing severe back pain since 2000. I went to Shands several times throughout the years to have ablations of my nerves. However, due to family obligations, I haven’t been able to get back there for this newset round of pain I’ve had! I found Dr. Gorman and went to see him! He did what Shands had done, and more, to fix the problems I had. His bedside manner is the best I’ve had in a long time. I would HIGHLY recommend him if you want no more pain!! He’s the best!!! Thank you!

Dr. Chad Gorman is not compassionate. I suffer from non-alcoholic liver disease, painful neuropathy, chronic pelvic pain, depression and suicidal tendencies when I don't have my meds. He was supposed to give me a 30 day supply upon discharge to get me through until I can see another doctor. He did not. He treated me for 4 months without my previous records. Needless to say, I turned him into the DEA. They are watching very closely. This will probably not get posted. Only the good reviews
